“Art Night at the Marina”

Saturday, June 18th from 5 to 8 pm.

We are very excited about moving our summer art events to the third Saturday of each month. We hope this will give more visitors an opportunity to come and enjoy the fun.

The Wade Gallery will be featuring the first of a three-part collection of Bruce Peterson’s images depicting Seaview’s homes, color and feel. Bruce has been in Seaview since 1988 and his original love of the town’s unique character is still evident today. Preview images at http://brucewpeterson.wordpress.com/.

The gallery will also be showing some wonderful hand crafted silver jewelry, created specifically for us by Ron & Debbie Watts of Laserwolf Silver.

Marie Powell’s Shoalwater Cove Gallery will feature a new array of mixed media paintings as well as original monotypes.  If you haven’t seen Marie Powell’s latest artwork from New Zealand, you’ll want to stop in for a preview, and a chance to add an impressive original to your art collection.  They are spectacular!  Also featured will be a new collection of original one-of-a-kind art notecards by Marie Powell.  These are collectable and frameable. View images at http://marie-powell.com/.

Also showing at Marie Powell’s gallery, and new for Spring and Summer:  Exquisite original Jewelry by Sandra Lill.

The Powell’s will also be giving away a wonderful dinner for two at Pelicano Restaurant on the waterfront at the Port of Ilwaco, which includes:

3 Course Dinner for Two and a Bottle of House Wine

Peruse their menu at http://www.pelicanorestaurant.com/.

Refreshments will be served at the gallery by the ever gracious Colleen Anderson

Nautical Brass will be displaying the beautiful and painstakingly executed art of Stillwater Fish Prints. Artists Ty and Tamara Mautner live and make art in Rockaway Beach, Oregon.  Life long coastal residents, they have always felt a deep bond to the sea and all life within it. Their work incorporates the Japanese art technique of Gyotaku, which started as a way for fishermen to accurately record their catches, and has since developed into a form of fine art.  They also use the raw print to create their own unique and beautiful representation of life under the surface. To view these highly original prints go to http://www.stillwaterprints.com/.

All these things and much more will be happening at the Port of Ilwaco’s Marina Saturday June 18th from 5 to 8ish. Come on down, make an evening of it, stroll the waterfront,  have a bite, have some refreshments, have some fun.
